Gallery B.2

I recently photographed one of my very best friend I recently photographed one of my very best friends on a significant day in her divorce process.

Getting to witness her through this transformational season of life has been breathtaking. Beauty and humanity and kindness like you wouldn’t believe. I’m in awe of her.

I’ve spent so much time reflecting on love and loss. On nuance and opposites. As above, so below. Grief and the human experience and tenderness are what I know — it is when we become quite intimate with death that we may really live.

Impermanence makes love rich. That we can’t predict everything — that things spontaneously change — that mortality threatens our heartbeat — makes loving a huge risk. Knowing that we can lose who we love in many ways makes commitment more powerful. Knowing that the open flower will die makes its fragrance holy.

Thank you for letting me sit with you in love & loss & joy & sorrow & beauty & terror.

I’ve finally been posting and sharing lately, an I’ve finally been posting and sharing lately, and it’s been quite nice to slowly go through wedding galleries… most of which, I’ve never shared at all!

I’ve said this a lot, but also being a Marketing & Creative Director for others for just as long as I’ve been a photographer, I’ve tended to be able to easily do for others what I haven’t done for myself (😂 — in many areas of life, yes.)

It’s fun to share & it’s SO fun to re-live these days & it’s the *most* fun to be having conversations with people who are not only in love with each other, but just exude love from their beingness. (which is to say, somehow, THE best humans keep finding me despite my decade of barely-any sharing, and thank you. I live for our wholesome interactions.) 🖤
